How to record external equipment sound?

1. Connect with your external equipment (mirror projection screen, external screen, external speakers)


2. Create Aggregate Device:

1/ Click Launchpad -> choose Other -> Open Audio MIDI Setup

2/ Then Audio Devices window pops up, and tap + on the bottom-left corner -> Choose Create Aggregate Device -> Choose the microphone and Filmage Audio Device

( The microphone choice depends on your device, for exemple, here we choose Bulit-in Microphone )




3. Create Multi-Output Device

1/ Click Launchpad -> choose Other -> Open Audio MIDI Setup

2/ Then Audio Devices window pops up, and tap + on the bottom-left corner -> Choose Create Multi-Output Device -> Choose the output device and Filmage Audio Device

( For exemple, here we connect Meeting Room as the external device, so we should choose Meeting Room )



Note: You should choose the same plug-in as the Multi-Output Device and the audio sources while recording.



4. Choose the Sound Setting

1/ Go System Preferences -> Sound.


2/ Click Input and choose Microphone which is ticked in Aggregate Device.


3/ Click Output and choose Multi-Output Device.



5. Only Record System Sound: Choose the plug-in ( Filmage Audio Device ) which is ticked in Aggregate Device and Multi-Output Device.



6. Record System Sound and Microphone Sound: Choose Aggregate Device.



7. Only Record Microphone Sound: Choose Microphone which is ticked in Aggregate Device.
